From now on, insects can be raised and marketed for human consumption in Estonia. 8 insect species are allowed, including crickets!
Crickets are a great alternative to meat because they contain 2-3 times more protein than meat. These "wonder insects" are full of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B12, iron, magnesium, calcium and contain valuable omega-3 fatty acids.
Crickets consume and pollute the environment several times less than cattle farming - significantly smaller ecological footprint!
